Over the past thirty years I have embarked on what I now feel has become a lifelong
commitment: creating photographs that have longevity and the ability to sustain trends
My roots in Watertown, N.Y. spawned my interest in photographing people within their
element. Later, the environment at the Art Institute of Boston allowed me to refine
my ideas and vision. I have many interests in life, therefore it seems only natural
that I have many interests in photography. Today I am working as a commercial photographer photographing people,
places and ideas.
Portraiture has always been the essence of what excites me as a
photographer. I photograph people not just because they
are beautiful, but because the beauty for me is derived from how they
operate, who they are and why they do what they
do. My motivating factor becomes the human element that I want to convey in
my photographs. It is here that I can make a
connection with people I normally would have never known.
I'm not certain whether I learn more about life through photography or learn
more about photography through life. |
